AXON Tunga Microfinance would like to hire competent and motivated Compliance Officer with an experience in microfinance industry. Bachelor degree in Economics, Accounting, Business administration; 5 years of experience in microfinance industry with 3 years in credit and control department


• Critical analysis of different files varies from loans, insurance, etc,
• Determined personality combined with innovative spirit ;
• Solid understanding of microfinance/banking industry in Rwanda ;
• Ability to start something from fresh ;
• Experience in developing manuals, policy and procedures ;
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and managea team ;
• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of reliability and correctness ;
• Good knowledge on economic, financial and operation topics;
• Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach ;
• Very good communication skills ;
• Familiar with Microsoft applications ;
• Excellent compliance or operation skills.


1. Review and monitor the company strategic plans to ensure they are operationalized and adhered to the values of Axon Tunga Microfinance ;
2. Review and monitor company policies to make sure they are in compliance with the Rwanda financial rules and regulations ;
3. Monitor the implementation of company strategies and policies through in-dept analysis that provide relevant recommendations and suggestions on appropriate actions to engage ;
4. Ensure effective internal and external communications of the company policies, values and strategies;
5. Create a liaison between management and other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
6. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective actions and provide guidances to avoid similar situations in the future ;
7. Ensure independent review and evaluation in regard with compliance concerns ;
8. Provide reports on a regular basis about operations and progress of compliance effort,
9. Willingness to take on finance duties like reconciliation, accounting, etc.
10. Serve as a credit administrator at the beginning to make sure all the loans files are compliant with the company policy and procedures.
